Project Information
The VMJR Companies acted as the Single Prime General Contractor for the Queensbury Central Fire Station. When bid came in over budget VMJR Com-panies Adirondack Construction worked with the Fire District to come up with solutions to save money with out reducing the project needed improvements. The project was performed while the station was fully occupied and allowed this service provider to provide emergency responses to the public while construction progressed. New Kitchen Facilities, Communication station and Apparatus bays were added as well as HVAC and Electrical Systems were updated.
Additionally the site was cleared and lev-eed allowing public access to the adjacent Hovey Pond, an ecologically sensitive area.
