Victor Macri

Victor Macri is the President and CEO of The VMJR Companies and its two subsidiaries: Adirondack Construction and Sweet Constructors (formerly Sweet Associates). He started his career with a concrete testing laboratory in 1971 and within 18 months had become branch manager. Impressed by his aggressiveness in problem solving, he was recruited and hired by Sweet Associates.

Macri has been with Sweet since 1974, starting as a project engineer and working his way up to president of Adirondack Construction in 1984. With the passing of key principals in both Sweet Associates and Adirondack Construction, he formed the VMJR Companies and aquired both construction companies.

Mr. Macri is committed to this region, his industry and his community. He is currently an Executive Board Member of the Boy Scouts of America Mohican Council and Chairman of their Properties Committee managing over 5000 Acres of land and facilities throughout Northern New York, a past Chairman of the Board & President  of the Lake George Opera Festival and involved with a number of Trade Associations including; service as past president of the Glens Falls Contractors Association, past Capital District Board Representative of the General Building Contractors of New York State (Now AGCNY), past Chairman of New York Business Council’s Construction Industry Council, past board member of the Eastern Contractors Association of New York, a national and regional member of the American Concrete Institute, a member of the Construction Specification Institute and a member of various committees of the Associated General Contractors of America
