The new, state of the art Albany International Airport has transformed the Capital Region. Serving as a "Gateway to the World," the 260,000 square foot Passenger Terminal combines modern and traditional architecture using elements of the area's Shaker heritage.

The construction of the $22 million facility required the use of materials and systems designed for efficient installation, shortened lead times and ease of application or handling under less then favorable conditions.

Although the project incorporated numerous changes throughout construction, through meticulously planning and tireless efforts of the Albany County Airport Authority and Sweet Constructors. the schedule was reduced by six months and was completed under budget.
