As cities and towns continue to grow, they need to expand to maintain the level of services they provide. Sweet has
constructed wastewater treatment plants, town halls, fire departments, public safety buildings, county jails, and many other public facilities to assist
municipalities in addressing their programming and spatial needs.
The Pine Hill Water Treatment Facility upgrade in Pine Hill, New York was a $35 million project for which Sweet Constructors provided their
masonry expertise in Structural Glazed Block Work to construct the eight (8) facilities buildings: Administration, Headworks, Influent Pump Station,
RBC, Intermediate Pump Station, Chemical, Solid Handling and the Filtration Building. Each building's unique requirements combine various components
form Wood framing to plasters to structural glazed block to Aluminum siding creating a rural farm look.
The upgrade included extensive architectural concrete features were recognized by the elite in the industry with the City of New York's Concrete
Industry Board's Roger H. Corbetta Award of Merit.
