Adirondack Construction has extensive experience in public projects at the local, state and federal levels. Working with the US Defense
Finance Accounting Services (DFAS) office and the US Army Corp. of Engineers serving as the architects/engineers, Adirondack Construction renovated three
existing buildings, totaling 160,000 square feet. The project consisted of extensive hazardous abatement, interior demolition, new framing, mechanical
and electrical upgrades, and interior finishes.
In the $11 million renovation project, phasing of the construction work as well as employee safety were critical. DFAS was fully operational during
construction so the project was done in numerous phases, relocating DFAS employees and office furniture as construction moved through the three buildings.
Also, with staff working on site during construction, various safety measures were taken to ensure the health and well being of the DFAS employees.
Adirondack Construction completed this project four months ahead of schedule and under budget.
